Flips

Flips are a great way to strengthen sound blending skills and phonemes. They make a great center for reinforcement of these skills. They can be run off on oaktag and laminated for durability. We have fastened the classroom sets on top through the hole with a ring so that the letters can flip up. The sets that the students take home are run off on regular paper and stapled on the side and the letters flipped over. There are four different Flips blackline masters available.

The categories for the Flips are:

Short Vowel Patterns 1 (e.g. ab, en, it)

Short Vowel Patterns 2 (e.g. ack, ong, uff)

Long Vowel Patterns 1 (e.g. ace, ine)

Long Vowel Patterns 2 (e.g. eed, oat)
